During a 60 minute reflexology session, you are clothed and reclining while the therapist rubs, and presses pressure points on your feet. The practice and purpose go deeper than the skin and muscles by taking a specific reflex point on the foot to induce a healing response in corresponding organs and other areas of the body. A reflexology session breaks up deposits which may interfere with the body’s electrical energy in the nervous system.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is focusing on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia, massaging against the grain of the muscle fibers. The intention is to target “knots” within the muscle tissue and restore normal function. Deep tissue is useful to re-align the muscle fibers and facilitate blood flow to the area. Trigger point therapy is also used in certain areas of the body to break the pain cycle of a mal-functioning muscle fiber, adjusting the pressure as per the client’s comfort. A trigger point is a tight muscle tissue area that causes pain in other parts of the body. The therapist will be massaging the body with essential oils, which are used to relax and heal, refresh or stimulate according to your need, which is done by absorbing through your skin.
Relaxation Massage
You can choose between 30 or 60 minutes to help you relax, rejuvenate and de-stress. Relax and quiet your mind while your tension is massaged away. This Increases circulation, lymphatic drainage, and eases pain. This is designed to soothe and relax you not relieve chronic pain or other underlying ailments.
